Curriculum & Bench Training Sequence
This session is structured around systematic hardware diagnosis and execution. Each stage combines theoretical physics calculations with immediate hands-on verification on our Gimpo lab workstations.
Module 1: Firmware Architecture & Safety Flashing
Understanding control board EEPROM structure, signature verification, recovery SD-card creation, and avoiding bricked control boards.
Module 2: Per-Chip Voltage & Frequency Auto-Tuning
Configuring automatic chip tuning algorithms to compensate for silicon lottery variance, reducing wattage while sustaining stable hash production.
Module 3: Stratum V2 Protocol & Failover Routing
Setting up local mining proxy nodes, encrypted Stratum V2 connections, share submission latency reduction, and multi-pool fallback rules.
Expected Technical Capabilities Upon Completion
- Reduce power consumption by up to 25% while maintaining hardware health.
- Safely flash and tune custom firmware profiles without risking control board damage.
- Establish resilient stratum connections with automatic multi-pool failover.
Target Audience & Prerequisites
Who This Session Is Designed For:
- Miners wanting to under-volt ASICs for high-efficiency low-wattage summer operation
- Operators seeking to eliminate weak chips and balance per-board frequency curves
- Hobbyists wanting secure local stratum proxy routing and automated failover setups
Required Prior Knowledge:
Completion of Home Rig Setup Workshop or verifiable hands-on experience operating ASIC miners.
Dedicated Workbench Equipment
Every registered seat includes exclusive, unshared access to professional diagnostic hardware during all lab hours:
- Isolated test network with local Stratum V2 test proxies
- Vnish, Braiins OS, and VNISH open firmware test environments on Antminer hardware
- Power meters displaying real-time wall wattage and power factor (PF) metrics
Scope & Inclusions
What Is Included:
- 6 hours of hands-on firmware flashing, profile tuning, and test runs on live test rigs
- Custom configuration templates for under-volting, quiet mode, and high-efficiency profiles
- Stratum V2 local proxy configuration guide and network safety checklist
- Lunch and workshop refreshments
What Is Excluded:
- Commercial third-party firmware license keys (free community versions used for lab)
